Turtle Rescue

We were driving home from the store Friday evening and had to veer to the left so we would not run over a little turtle crossing the road. We watched in the rear view mirror to be sure the two cars behind us veered as well. Adam flipped a U turn and we went back to move it off the road. Adam picked it up and brought it in the car to release in the pond in our backyard. He drove home with one hand, holding the squirming turtle in the other. We let the kids hold him for a minute before we set him down near the pond. He swam off... I am not sure if he is happy we saved him or if he is irritated that we moved him. Can you imagine if you were traveling somewhere and a giant picked you up and set you down somewhere else? That would be so annoying! :)
