Happy Birthday Monkey!

Lochlan celebrated his birthday last month. He turned 1 on the 1st. At his 12 month appointment he was 20 lbs 12 ounces and 29.5 inches tall. He shared his birthday with the Superbowl this year so we had a little party for him before church. I made him a #1 cake with m&m's (one of his favorite treats). He was not a big fan of the frosting and preferred the m&m's plain.

• He has picked up several words (some of them are: peek a boo, sissy, Anika, brother, uh oh, Koda, thank you, bye, night night, cheese) He jabbers constantly and throws huge tantrums when things don't go his way.


• He loves to climb up on anything and everything including out counter height table. (It makes me so nervous because he has fallen a few times but he will not let you help him or hold him steady)


• He has figured out how to open doors (the downside to door levers instead of knobs)


• He loves taking showers (stomps and yells to hear his own echo), playing the wii (preferably with the orange remote), chasing his sibling, walking the dog (he tries to whistle and pats his leg for him to come)

He is such a joy to our family. Thanks to Carli, Ryan and Hayden for helping make his day special. Thanks to Grandma for the awesome gifts, he really enjoys them and knew immediately what they were for.
